I’m sure by now you’ve already heard the news, (every metal / rock music news website is talking about it) the remaining PANTERA members are planning a tribute tour for 2023. Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown will be hitting the road and they have recruited some heavy duty hitters to fill some legendary shoes. Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante will be handling duties on the guitar and the drums.
There has been talk about a PANTERA reunion tour for years, but we’ve always heard it would be titled a tribute tour. You can bet your bottom dollar that this will be a legendary tribute tour in the making. This will be a great show to attend for sure, but I have a hunch about the tour when it’s announced.
That hunch involves tour legs. I’m betting the midwest, especially the Nebraska, South Dakota, and Kansas areas will have to wait until the SECOND LEG (If there is one, like Slayer’s last tour) and that show will most likely be at the Baxter Arena. THIS IS JUST A HUNCH.
Now, we wait for the official tour dates to be announced. In the meantime, who is going to build a PANTERA party bus for the roadtrip ahead?
