Boston, Massachusetts band Gozu will be releasing their latest record titled, “Equilibrium” on April 13th via Metal Blade Records and from what I’ve heard it’s going to be killer. You have to check out their song titled, “Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat”. Even though the song is way too long at over six minutes, somehow that doesn’t matter because it’s that good.
The song is a heavy riff journey that rocks. The guitar tone sounds ripping, the bass guitar compliments the song well, the percussion keeps the ride rolling, and the vocals are edgy, smooth, and melodic. They kinda sound like a higher tempo Fireball Ministry, but with more melodic solos. It’s pretty awesome and is a great record to check out.
