First StormFest Lineup Announcement, Fields of Murder!

The weathermen try to predict a snowpocalypse a week in advance, but I can do better. On April 8th and 9th, a storm like you’ve never seen will befall Omaha.

That’s right kiddos, StormFest is coming to town! This festival is so brutal, one rotation of the earth upon its axis could not contain it. 2016’s StormFest will be a two-day event, doors at 8PM on Friday April 8th, and doors at 5PM on Saturday April 9th, at Omaha’s Lookout Lounge. Two-day passes are available for $13, but if you’re too soft to handle all that metal, you can get into Friday’s show for $7, and Saturday’s for $10. Tickets will be available in the second half of February. You will be able to get them from the bands, at the Lookout Lounge, and from StormFest organizer “Uncle” Tripp “WarMachine” Stevens of Clenched Fist Productions.

We’ll be announcing the lineup one band per day, in the order of which they are playing the fest. Make sure to give BadassConcert.com a like on Facebook and Twitter to make sure you keep up. While you’re at it, tell your friends!!

Enough of the housekeeping, onto the METAL!

Opening up Friday night will be Fields of Murder from Lincoln, Nebraska. Fields of Murder is a new band from Lincoln, with Davey Boardman on bass, Lance Grell on drums, Nick Doeden on guitar, and Lance Tyson on vocals.

Fields of Murder plays a style of American Metal that feels like a kick in the mouth. They cite Pantera and Lamb of God as influences, and you can pick up on a few of those vibes as you listen. FoM has several live videos on their facebook page and a handful of recordings on their Reverbnation available for streaming or free download.

If you can’t wait until StormFest to catch this band, they are playing February 19th at Dr. Jack’s Drinkery in Omaha with Megaton and A Different Breed.

You’re going to need to practice headbanging for StormFest, so…..

….get out and pay some cover charges!
